Learn to Skate and Play Program

Registration for the 2023 / 2024 season is open!

Learn to skate is a parent or caregiver and child on the ice practice, and one of the only opportunities in the area where you get to help your child learn to skate!

If your skater is independant, an adult is not required to be on the ice with them. We can help you assess if your skater is ready. Learn to play is just skaters on the ice, no adults unless you are coaching.

The South Shore Seahawks are members of Learn to Skate USA and follow a standardized curriculum founded in solid and enjoyable skill progression for learning to skate.

Ages 3 -6 and up. The ice will be split for ages 3 - 6 and up in learn to skate on one side and ages 4 and up in learn to play on the other half. This format works great because skaters can move up as soon as they are ready. Two year olds sometimes have success in learn to skate contact us with any questions. Sessions are 8 weeks.
