Seahawks Instructional Hockey Information and Signups
The Seahawks Instructional Hockey program offers an in-house teaching program which introduces young players (boys and girls) to the game of hockey. The program focuses of player development, skills and the joy of the game. Instructional Hockey program provides a unique hockey experience for the entire family. Instructional practices will be held on Sunday mornings at 10:20 AM in Rink A of Pilgrim Arena in Hingham, MA. The hour will be divided in half, in order to accommodate both a practice and a game. The first half hour will be dedicated to practice. This will consist of a brief warm-up, skating drills and stations that focus on developing specific aspects of the game of hockey. The second half of the hour will be dedicated to a game. Games will be played in a cross-ice format, which keep players interested and guaranteeing that every player will touch the puck more often and develop his/her skills. In addition to the Sunday morning ice-time, a “Game of the Week” will be featured in Rink B of Pilgrim Arena on Fridays at 5 or 6:10 PM. Teams will face off against each other throughout the season and end in a tournament style championship. The start of the season will commence on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
