Thrashers Game 10 Recap
Hingham, MA - Coming off a long layoff in between games the Thrashers took to the ice yesterday to face an impressive Hingham team. The Thrasher got on the scoreboard early on a goal from Drew Commesso midway through the first period. The team then put on a fantastic defensive effort to protect the lead into the second period. John Joseph, Luke Norton, Michael Ryan, Henry Johnson, Will Hoyt, Drew Casagrande and Nathan Stetson led the way playing great defense. The Thrashers added to their lead as Drew Commesso netted his second goal of the game midway through the second period. Hingham answered the Thrasher goal with a goal of their own - bringing the game to a tight 2-1 score heading into the third period. Owen Thomas then took the puck and netted an early third period goal and then added another as insurance allowing the Thrashers to cruise to a hard fought victory. Matt Kirslis held the fort in goal turning away several great chances from the Hingham team and earning the win in net. As the buzzer sounded the Thrashers celebrated their well earned 4-1 victory with their patented pig pile victory celebration. The Thrashers look to finish their season strong next Saturday in the season finale at Hobomock Ice Rink against the Coastal Stars.
