Pembroke, MA - Coming off a huge emotional game in front of 18,000 fans, the Thrashers headed down to the Hobomock ice rink to take on the impressive 10-5 C-2 Coastal Stars team. The Thrasher got on the scoreboard earlier on a goal from Owen Thomas midway through the first period. The team then put on a fantastic defensive effort to protect the lead into the second period. John May, John Joseph, Matt Kirslis, Luke Norton, Michael Ryan and Nathan Stetson led the way playing great defense. The Thrashers added to their lead with a highlight reel goal from Ryan MacDermott who netted the one timer from a great Henry Johnson pass. Owen Thomas netted an empty net goal in the closing few seconds to secure the victory. Drew Commesso held the fort in goal turning away several great chances from the Stars and earning the win in net. As the buzzer sounded the Thrashers celebrated their well earned 3-1 victory with their patented pig pile victory celebration. The Thrashers look to building on their progress over the next few games!
