SQUIRT Level Tryouts
SQUIRT LEVEL PLAYERS -- BORN in 1998 and 1999
SESSION I. Tryout Dates and Times for ALL SQUIRTS –
Skills tryout:
BASED ON YOUR LAST NAME (take special note of Location!!)
From A to L Wednesday March 26th at 5:00 at Bavis
From M to Z Wednesday March 26th at 6:00 at Bavis
From the tryouts above we will select approximately 60 – 70 top rated players to continue the tryout process. ALL players NOT selected will be drafted on a SQUIRT C team. Selected players will be posted on our Website.

SQUIRT Level Tryouts
SQUIRT LEVEL PLAYERS -- BORN in 1998 and 1999
Selection Process:
We expect to have approximately 90 to 110 kids register and tryout for the SQUIRTS. Based on this estimate we will have one SQUIRT A team, 2-3 SQUIRT B teams and 3 or 4 SQUIRT C teams.
There will be four or five judges at each tryout session rating your hockey player on various skills. The ratings are averaged and players are ranked
After Session I (a skills tryout), we will post on our website (address below) the players requested to return for Session II (a scrimmage). Session III will be an additional scrimmage of the top 25 to 30 rated players. It is very important that you all read the posting before going to Session II or Session III.
After the Scrimmages the players will be ranked based on the combined scores of the Skills and Scrimmages. The skills portion of the tryout will count as 1/3 of your total score and the scrimmage 2/3.
The top approximately 40 ranked players will be automatic selections, with the top 13 making the SQUIRT A team. Once the Coaches for the A and B teams are selected, they will fill out their team with up to three “coaches picks” each.
ON MAY 1st we will post on our website the Level (SQUIRT A, B or C) that your hockey player has made.
All drafts to allocate players among teams at each level will be held in May. Your new Coach will call you by the end of May.
