We are full! Sorry -- Hope to see you in the fall. The South Shore Seahawks Learn To Skate Program is an hour session provided for children four years old and older who are novice ice skaters. The program is taught by Seahawk coaches and volunteers. Parents are encouraged to participate. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT (Sticks and Pucks are not allowed) - Helmet with child's name visible
- Gloves or Mittens
- Skates (no one is allowed on the ice without skates)
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT (Additional padding takes the fear out of falling) - Knee Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Face shield for helmet (chin pad should rest on chin)
- Hockey Pants
- Protective neck guards
WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP AFTER LEARN TO SKATE?
After your child has aquired the basic skills of skating the next step is signing them up for the South Shore Seahawks Instructional Hockey Program. The Instructional Hockey Program is typically for beginner hockey players between the ages of 4 and 7 and teaches the children the basic skills and rules of hockey. GENERAL INFORMATION:
• Ages 4 and up • Session is on Sundays from January 3rd to March 21st, 2010 at 11:30am - 12:30pm at Rink A at Pilgrim Skating Arena in Hingham • Cost is $125 • In person signups will be available on January 3rd and January 10th at Rink A at Pilgrim Skating Arena in Hingham
